Californication

Hello Sleeve of Wizards (SOWs),

Finally, i am back in humid Singapore. Got home yesterday after a two day flight due to the time difference in the countries. Jet lag to the max.

This year i had the opportunity to have a vacation with my family to California. Actually this holiday was supposed to have happened 2 years ago, but passport complications led to me and my brother being left behind that time omg.

Luckily, almost everything went smoothly this time round. This post will be mostly pictures and it was a pain in the ass to upload 5 pics at a time as it was the limit. I have uploaded a fraction from the tons of photos taken. This post is to remind me of the time there as i forget things easily -_-.

Oh yeah, the chicks and dudes in Cali are really hot stuffs. I envy the facial structures of these people. Hehe. & also we get more sunlight here in Singapore as their country becomes dark after 4pm while dawn is the same time as us.

Imagine waking up at 2pm like typical S'poreans do on a lazy day and then it becomes night at 4pm+. Wtf. 2 hours of sunlight. Maybe its due to the winter season? Hmm..

One more thing, the pictures should be viewed from bottoms up because i messed up the uploading sequence of pictures. Or you could just view it backwards as it is. Lol!

Back to hot and humid Singapore :(
Last but not least, we nearly missed our flight back home as we got our departure time wrong. We were at the customs when a flight attendant made a last call for passengers. We were at the back of the queue at that time.

Luckily others were kind enough to make way for us to be screened first and we scrambled to the plane which was at the end of the airport. As soon as we got in, the plane flew off 5 minutes later. Phew, what if we hadn't noticed the last call? = Extended holiday!! hehehe.

Alright thats the end.. Still jet lagged though. Sleepy. Adios. Zzzz

What??

We were totally shagged after walking for 3 hours.

Finally we found it!! We actually decided to walk all the way there and not cab there instead. The result was getting lost, numerous times. Well, it was worth it.

Found a store selling Marijuana. Oh yeah, there are stores dispersed all over Los Angeles and San Francisco selling weed. If i am not wrong, ganja is legal in the state of California. These pot are considered medicine there. Hmmm........... should i migrate? lol

Our independent day out without any tour guides. Our mission - Locate Golden Gate Park.

A view of the Golden Gate Bridge with darkness as its backdrop. I always look sleepy like that because the cold wind is making my eyes dry and sleepy.

Doing a Michael Jackson. Wait, what happened to the buildings?

The Golden Gate Bridge. The most famous landmark of San Francisco. Eventhough i have never heard of it until then! hahaha.

I forgot the name of this place. The trips between attractions were long and i slept through the guides blabbering.

Yep, Alcatraz.

The island behind? Its Alcatraz. The infamous now defunct prison turned museum.

Lazy bummed sea lions sunbathing even though its so cold.

Then we got to Fisherman's wharf. It was a ship bay area.

There are more choices here too.

Serving drinks as usual. LOL

My future house.

The time in San Francisco was reserved for sightseeing. We were off to Napa Wine Valley soon enough.

Happy concierge with an Unhappy customer

Good bye Los Angeles. Hello San Francisco! A few days later we switched hotels as we were staying in San Francisco. We stayed at The Hilton and "its nize".

There it is.

Dinner by the lodge. Tissues go well with coffee.

A waterfall! A WATERFALL! FIND IT!!

Mountain shot. This was supposedly the best spot to get the best view of Yosemite.

Don't be deceived. I only sat there for a split second but the ice managed to freeze my butt though. I couldnt shit for the next 2-3 days.

Taking time off to have a chat with a tree. His name is Lee Wayne by the way. He is complaining of becoming bald.

Real soft and fluffy snow. Our tour bus broke down on the way to Yosemite Valley. The long riding hours was a bitchslap to the ass. It was actually good that the bus broke down.

Snowmans and Snowwomans.

A parade of Disney's characters.

Goofy the roofy.

This ride was similar to the fast drop ride thingy except it had a darker and creepier feel. I enjoyed this one better though.

My father's photography skills sucks. Where was he focusing ehhh. We had a good 10mins laugh over this photo.

I got a shoot of Aladdin's girlfriend.

They even have vineyards in Disneyland..

\('o')/..

I swore my arms were too fat to squeeze out of the safety belt therefore that was the furthest that i could raise my hands.

However, this Ferris wheel was the killer. We nearly throwed up cause it swayed too much. I vote this as the most dangerous ride ever.

I just died. R.I.P

& this was the only ride i took once. I am afraid of heights :(

Back in Disneyland. Yeah, the photos are in chronological order.
Aha!- The castle at the background, thats the prominent castle you always see in every Disney's productions. Its cool cause it spits out the fireworks.

Chicks. Where??

Again. He moved again!

The moving statue moved, surprising me.

On Terminator's chopper.

'Scenic view' as said by the information board.

Didnt expect Frankenstein to have intimate feelings.

Hey, we can't just leave the poor plane alone..

Oh shit, war of the worlds.

The site for the movie, "The Grinch".

Ah, this part was the climax. This is the site where most of the scenes of "desperate housewives" are acted out. And to our surprise, the casts of the series were actually filming when we arrived. But too bad our guide had to stop short before reaching here because the cast and crew had to hide first. They wouldnt want people to jump out of the tram and flock the artistes. No Eva Longoria for me:(

The flood hit us hard but we managed to swim to safety. We were lucky that only one casualty was reported..

Holy shit, suddenly a flash flood came through!

The awesome special effects were demonstrated to us.
First it was dry;

I met an unknown actor at the red carpet there. I found out later that he was my brother and acting only. I was disappointed.

So.. this is where the 'racing' took place -___-

They brought us to the filming site of tokyo drift.

We took a tour round the studios. Our first sight was a studio room behind the lorry. Only actors and crew members are allowed access to the studio.

We also went to Hollywood Universal Studios. The actual place for the filming of movies and TV serials.

The fireworks lasted 10-15mins. The experience was surreal. Check out the videos.
I was too engrossed in the fireworks display.

Huge ass crowd waiting for the fireworks display.

I thought i felt sexy for a moment there until i got a look of the picture taken. It was Real sexayy.

A little close up view of the rein-deers.

These is where Santa hires his rein-deers.

This is what riding a rollercoaster makes you look like.

Tigger woods showing some love.

Entrance to Disneyland. The temperature was about 10 degrees Celsius and dry. My body recevied a climate shock and my lips cracked and have not healed ever since.

It helped that our Inn was 5 minutes away from Disneyland as we had a 3 days pass. I was like a big kid there. We managed to clear all the rides. v[^_^]v

Giving a call to my homie Jay-z to pick me up.

That is a large ass can of energy drink, apprx. 1L i think. Everything sold there is super-sized though. Lol.

Upon checking in our inn, all of us slept throughout the day. We departed Singapore at 9am in the morning but arrived in L.A. at 11am of the same day. Our body just couldnt stand the jet lag.

We only got out during the night but slept again soon after wtf O_O
So, first day in Los Angeles was spent on shopping for rations.
Rations. And more rations. Not to forget, hibernations. hahaha.

Part 2 of the flight. This was taken just as we were about to land in LAX. The view of these mountains were breath taking.

What the hell is Marlboro black?? My first time seeing one. Too bad i don't smoke anymore. Hah.

The assortment of cigarettes. My father bought two cartons of those Marlboro medium reds.

After a butt wrecking 7 hours flight, the plane made a transit stop in Japan for refuelling etc. We managed to look around the airport for awhile. Japan is definitely one of the destinations in my "To visit" list.

I was excited alright.

Alright, it has been a long time since my last flight & i got so excited being in the clouds again. It was amazing to be very close to the clouds. Spectacular.

In the departure hall. I was surprised to see Vanessa Tang there as well. She was on her way to Korea. Nice.

Heh, for those who started viewing from here, good boy/girl. You win a virtual candy. OKgo.
